Our Eco-warriors have been meeting this term.
We have reviewed our growing areas. The poly-tunnel is very overgrown, but we have had plenty of food to harvest.
Our mini orchard is looking fantastic, the apple trees are full and the children and parents have enjoyed picking and eating our apple crop. The cooking club will be using some of our homegrown Intack apples in their apple crumble – I hope they share!
Forest school lessons have started up again – all children will be learning about the outdoors whilst improving their well-being. Being outside is great for our mental health.
Our work this term will focus on achieving our Woodland Gold Award – we will be investigating the trees around the school, looking at how we can look after biodiversity at Intack and we will become tree ambassadors.
We will be monitoring litter and carrying out some litter picks!
A busy term ahead.
