A busy start to the year so far!

We have spent some time creating posters about our favourite things to help our teachers get to know us.

We were also treated to a musical performance by Bolton Music Service.  On Friday 4th September, they brought a mini orchestra along to our school and performed a number of songs, showcasing a range of instruments: violins, a cello, a double bass, a drum kit, a trumpet, a clarinet and the human voice!  Some of our pupils were lucky enough to be invited up on stage to play the recorder.

We had a visit from Harold the Giraffe as part of our "Life Education" sessions.  Year 6 discussed the idea of peer pressure and making choices to keep our bodies safe and healthy.

In Science, we made a simple model of the heart.

We had a cake sale in school to raise money for the MacMillan Cancer charity.  There were so many delicious cakes to choose from!
