Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to our school!

Our school is very welcoming, we believe children come first, and we are dedicated to child-centred education. Our school motto is 'Proud to Belong' and we try to ensure every child and parent does...

Our school is bright and well-equipped. Our teachers are passionate about children achieving their best and fulfilling their potential. We aim to provide happy 'primary' years and prepare our children for the next stage in their education journey.

We welcome visitors, encourage parents and aim to be a central part of the community. If you would like a paper copy of the information on our website, please speak to the school office, who will provide this free of charge.

  • Our classroom doors are open from 8:40am for EYFS-Year 6
  • School starts at 8:45 am and finishes at 3:15 pm
  • A total time of 32 hours and 30 minutes a week
  • Morning nursery sessions run from 8.45am until 11.45am.
  • Afternoon nursery sessions run from 12.15pm until 3.15pm; although children may be collected at 3.10pm as this is when the main school finishes.

Intack Primary is a community primary school, with a mix of children from different backgrounds and cultures, serving the Whitebirk area of Blackburn and beyond.  We currently have 366 children on roll including the children within our 26 FTE place Nursery Class.

We hope you find our website useful, and it begins to convey what Intack Primary is all about and how we are all 'Proud to Belong'.
