We want to work in partnership with families to ensure all children use technology confidently, respectfully, and safely, both in school and at home.
1. Supporting Safe and Responsible Technology Use
As a parent/carer, I agree to:
➢ Support my child in following the school’s Pupil Acceptable Use Agreement.
➢ Encourage my child to talk to me or a trusted adult if something online makes them feel worried or upset.
➢ Supervise my child’s online activity at home and ensure they only use age-appropriate games, websites, and apps. This includes social media platforms such as Snapchat and TikTok.
➢ Remind my child to keep passwords and personal information private.
➢ Support the school’s approach to online safety and digital learning.
2. Communication and Online Conduct I agree to:
➢ Use school communication tools for educational purposes only.
➢ Communicate with staff respectfully and courteously.
➢ Never share or discuss confidential or sensitive school matters, pupils, or staff on social media.
➢ Avoid posting or sharing photos or videos that include other pupils or staff without their consent.
➢ Contact the school directly with any concerns instead of posting online.
3. Privacy, Data, and Monitoring
I understand that:
➢ The school uses filters and monitoring tools to help protect pupils while online.
➢ Staff may review technology use to ensure it remains safe and appropriate.
➢ The school handles personal information in line with its Privacy Notice and data protection laws.
➢ Any online learning tools used by the school have been checked for safety and data compliance.
4. Safe Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) I understand that:
➢ My child may use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted learning apps) as part of their learning.

➢ AI tools can help with learning, research, and creativity, but sometimes produce incorrect or biased information.
➢ I will support my child by encouraging safe and responsible use of AI and discussing how to verify information.
➢ My child should never share personal, sensitive, or confidential information with AI tools.
➢ The school will guide pupils on responsible AI use and monitor its use for safety.
As a parent, I understand that:
➢ The school will always use children’s images respectfully and will never publish full names alongside photos or videos.
➢ Photos and videos will be stored securely and not reused after my child leaves the school unless new consent is given.
➢ I can withdraw my consent at any time by contacting the school office in writing.
➢ The school will review permissions annually.
