  • Drawing: Exploring line and shape

In Art, Robins explored how shapes and different types of lines can be used to create artwork. They identified organic shapes in everyday objects and artwork and experimented with joining lines to create their own shapes. Inspired by Bridget Riley’s artwork, the children used a variety of lines and shapes to draw faces, carefully considering their choices and discussing what they liked or disliked about different pieces of art. They also experimented with applying different amounts of pressure to create lighter and darker shades of colour, developing their drawing skills and creativity.
