In Science, Robins explored a range of materials to investigate which were absorbent and which were non-absorbent. They tested different materials by observing what happened when water was added, identifying which materials soaked up the water and which allowed it to run off. Through this hands-on investigation, the children developed their understanding of the properties of everyday materials and learnt how these properties can help us decide which materials are suitable for different purposes.
