It has been a busy summer term. The eco council has continued to maintain our outdoor environment, weeding, planting and watering to ensure our natural environment is both inviting for our community and the birds and animals around school.
We have been very active in the poly-tunnel. We have a variety of fruits and vegetables growing. Last week we harvested some lettuce and mini cucumbers – they were delicious.
We attended the ECO Sustainability Conference at Ewood last month. We had a great day learning about how to look after the world, we attended workshops and visited the 'marketplace' where we chatted to exhibitors about their eco-friendly products. We enjoyed ice-cream and the free gifts!
