Autumn 1

In English, we will be exploring The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

In Maths, we will be developing our understanding of place value and learning how to use our knowledge to solve addition, subtraction multiplication and division problems. Arithmetic is hugely important and understanding how to answer simple calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication division, fractions and percentages will be of huge benefit to your child.

In Science, we will be investigating forces. We will be investigating the effects of weight and distance on forces through our practical lessons.

Alongside our main subjects, we will have daily phonics, guided reading sessions, as well as weekly PSHE, RE and PE lessons. We are also very excited about restarting Forest School this term with Mrs Quirk! During this half-term, we will also enjoy learning about the Vikings in History, making 'wobblebots' in Design and Technology (DT), singing 'Livin on a Prayer, by Bon Jovi in Music and we will be learning how to create quizzes in Computing!
