We had a buzzing and exciting week celebrating World Bee Day! πβ¨
We began by finding out what a bee is and just how important it is. Bees are tiny helpers that carry pollen from flower to flower, helping plants grow and giving us lots of the food we love. πΈπ
As the week went on, we became busy little bees ourselves! We explored the bee life cycle by creating our very own, and got wonderfully creative with lots of fun activities. We built a fantastic papier mache beehive, made honeycombs and bees using junk modelling, printed stripy bees with sponges, and crafted bright, beautiful tissue paper flowers for our bees to visit and much more. π¨πΌ
To finish off our beautiful week, we tasted some delicious honey—bringing all our learning together and helping us understand just how hard bees work and why they are so special. π―π
