Spring Detectives!

This week, we became Spring detectives as we explored the school grounds in search of new growth. Everywhere we looked, we discovered bursts of vibrant colour, tiny shoots peeking through the soil, bright petals opening in the sunshine, and fresh green leaves beginning to appear.

As we wandered, the children used their senses to experience the natural world around them. We gently touched soft petals, looked closely at the patterns and shapes of each flower, and smelled the sweet scents of each flower. Their curiosity and excitement brought our outdoor learning to life.

These moments linked beautifully to our growing and planting topic, helping the children understand how plants change and grow as the seasons shift. It was a magical reminder of how much learning happens when we slow down, explore, and truly notice the world around us.
