Before the summer holidays, the children planted their own sunflower seeds and carefully looked after them. When they returned to Nursery, they were amazed by how much their sunflowers had grown! This sparked lots of discussion as the children explored the life cycle of a sunflower and compared the different heights of their plants, developing their measuring and observation skills.

Over the coming weeks, we will collect and save some of the sunflower seeds ready Nursery children to plant and grow themselves next year. Outdoor Magic!
