We are beginning to talk about our feelings in Nursery using The Colour Monster. We are starting with happy and sad, helping children recognise these emotions and understand why we might feel them.

As young children, managing big emotions can be tricky. Throughout the year, we will support the children to understand, express and regulate their feelings in a safe and caring environment. The colour monster also supports colour recognition.
