Our Nursery children have been thoroughly enjoying spending time in our cosy reading corner, where a love of books is growing every day!

Throughout this year, the children have loved sharing stories with their friends, talking about the pictures, turning the pages together, and retelling familiar tales. They have also enjoyed listening carefully as adults read a variety of exciting and engaging stories, helping to develop their vocabulary, imagination and understanding of books.

Sometimes, the children choose to find a quiet spot to look at books independently, exploring the illustrations, recalling favourite stories, and developing their confidence as early readers.

It has been wonderful to see the children showing such enthusiasm for books and storytelling. Encouraging a love of reading from an early age helps to build language skills, spark imagination, and create lifelong readers. We are so proud of the fantastic attitudes our Nursery children are showing towards reading!
