Computing at Intack Primary School – Statement of Impact

The impact of our Computing curriculum, underpinned by Purple Mash, is that pupils:

• Are confident and responsible digital citizens, able to use technology safely, respectfully and effectively.

• Show clear progression across all three strands of computing, demonstrated in their digital work and problem-solving approaches.

• Apply transferable skills in logic, reasoning, creativity and collaboration, supporting learning across the wider curriculum.

• Understand how technology shapes their lives and the wider world, and are inspired to explore future opportunities in computing and digital careers.
   

Impact is measured through:

• Pupil outcomes in Purple Mash units (saved work and digital portfolios).

• End-of-unit quizzes and assessment tasks within Purple Mash.

• Ongoing teacher assessment, questioning and observation.

• Pupil voice, reflecting confidence, safety and enjoyment.

• Subject leader monitoring of planning, outcomes and teaching consistency.
