Silly Science in school on Wednesday 22nd May - Please send you money to your child's class teacher. Thank you

Ducklings - Nursery

Welcome to Ducklings!

We all hope you had a lovely Easter break.

This half term we are going to be learning all about different animals with our topic Animal Crackers. We will be looking at lots of different animals and find out all about them from where they live to what they like to eat. We will also be getting some visitors for a few weeks that the children will be able to observe!

Our school trip will be Zoo Lab this year. They will be coming and completing a workshop with the children based on the story 'we're going on a bear hunt'. We are all very excited!

We will also be welcoming some new children to our setting. We hope you settle well and enjoy coming to Nursery just as much as the rest of us do!

Now that the weather is changing all the time, please make sure that you send your child in prepared for all weathers. Spare change of clothes and a waterproof coat for when its wet and a sun hat and sun cream if the weather is nice. We aim to play outside whatever the weather!

Also please make sure that your child's name is in any school clothing, especially jumpers or cardigans.

See our policy on outdoor play below if you want to familiarise yourself with it.

Below is our topic cycle so you know what your child will be learning each half term during their time in Nursery.

As we come into the Summer term, some of our children that are moving up to Reception in September will be coming home talking to you about 'school ready'. Below is a poster that explains what this means. During our future stay and plays we will also have activities linked to these skills that the children would benefit from being able to do once they start Reception. Please take a look and help us get your child 'school ready'.
