Our intent for writing is to ensure that all children see the purpose for the writing we ask them to produce. Our writing curriculum is centered around real-life experiences or writing for enjoyment. Children are exposed to a variety of text-types and scenarios to encourage and motivate them to write. We want our children to develop into confident, able writers who write with ‘purpose and passion’. Our children know that it is OK to make mistakes and that even the best authors edit and redraft many times before they produce their final piece of excellent writing!
