Grammar Teaching at Intack Primary School
Our children will be taught grammar through reading, writing and speaking.
Teachers will build grammar knowledge by teaching discrete grammar lessons and then by planning in opportunities, across the curriculum, for children to apply these skills through practise and consolidation.
Teachers follow the Programme of Study within the National Curriculum.
Children are given half-termly grammar tests to check their understanding and in preparation for the statutory tests completed in year 2 and year 6.
