Exploring and Textures
During this Forest School Session learners experienced:
- Using safety knowledge and recognising hazards around the site
- different textures and touches around the site
- recognising and naming a tree.
The children explored and became aware of the boundaries of the Forest School site. As we started exploring and touching different textures of natural resources the children came across piles of leaves. As we were learning about textures, the children thought it would be a good idea to make a pile of leaves and jump in them, thinking about the textures as we were doing this. We put our wellies on and had lots of fun! After this we explored and identified trees, recoognising leaves which match up to the trees. We started and ended this weeks session with 'Going on a tree hunt' book.
