Welcome back to school for the Summer Term!

Week 1

The first week in the second term of Forest School included a lot of exploring and learning about living things in the woodland environment and their habitats. The children in this session created a habitat for their own living thing and then created their living thing out of clay to fit into the habitat made. We all worked well together as a team or individually if preferred. After our activity we completed some mini beast hunts! The objectives for this week were:

  •  To understand what it feels like to be an animal/insect which live in the woodland area
  • To create a habitat out of natural resources alongside a living thing to include with this - we made this out of clay or drew a picture of it
  • Free choice – create food for the living things which have been created
  • To complete a mini beast hunt
