Week 4
We have finally been able to experience a fire! The weather this week has been clear for a fire, we had one day of pouring rain but we sat under a tree and had as much fun as we did on the other days! The children all whittled a stick using a bush craft knife for their marshmallow then learnt fire safety and what a fire could be used for in the forest.
The following learning objectives were covered:
- To understand the safety of lighting a fire
- To safely use a bush craft knife
- To be able to whittle a stick with 1:1 support
- To understand what a fire is used for
