Today Year 4 drummed for their Parents and school. Well done to all the children in Year 4 for their stunning, rhythmic performance and thank you to all those who attended.
We celebrated Children in Need on Friday. We raised £110 for the charity event and importantly the children learnt about the needs of others. Our next charity fundraising will take place on the last day of term, 16th December, National Christmas Jumper Day. The charity we will be fundraising for is Save the Children. Details will be sent out nearer the time.
Health notice
We have been sent a letter by the Public Health Department, sent to all schools, reminding us about being vigilant for diarrhoea and sickness outbreaks, sometimes referred to as Norovirus. It is that time of year. Children with these symptoms should not be in school and kept off for 48 hours after symptoms have cleared up. Hygiene is key to not catching and spreading the virus so please ensure hands are washed before eating and after going to the toilet. Please contact the school office if you require any further information.
17th November is Parent’s Evening. We look forward to welcoming as many Parents and Carers as possible, to enable us to share good news of your child’s progress.
On Monday the Book fair opened after school. It will run all week.
Mrs. Williams has reported a good turn out and we are pleased so many Parents are supporting the reading development of their children. A percentage of the final takings are given back to school in the form of books so we look forward to stocking up on some new books for each class. Thank you for your support.
